Esztergom
Hungary's largest church and the seat of the Catholic Church inHungary. The Classicist basilica houses a Renaissance masterpiece, the Bakócz Chapel. The Treasury's collection is extremely rich. The basilica is 118 metres long, 49 meteres wide, and 100 metres in height. Arches connect the two 57-metre towers on the left and right of the tympanum at the main entrance.

Esztergom Christian Museum

The Christian Museum is the largest ecclesiastical collection in Hungary, conserving European and Hungarian works of art of several centuries. On account of its Hungarian, Italian, Netherlandish, German and Austrian paintings, it is the third most significant picture gallery in Hungary, closely following the Museum of Fine Arts and the Hungarian National Gallery in Budapest.

The Festive Games series of events stand out among the summer cultural programmes which have been organised in Esztergom since 2002. The open-air events are held during July and August in Watertown (Víziváros), one of the oldest districts of the historic episcopal seat.
